external supervisors

In order to be ratified and registered as an ACCORD External Supervisor the following criteria must be met

• Have a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in the area of marriage and relationship counselling
• Have completed a recognised training course in supervision or have equivalent prior learning
• Participate in continuous professional development
• Accept and adhere to ACCORD guidelines, standards and reporting structures
• Be registered/Accredited as a Counsellor with a recognised counselling body
• Be a practicing Counsellor and be in clinical supervision
• Produce a copy of certificate of indemnity and certificate of accreditation as a counsellor/psychotherapist
