ACCORD uses both internal and external supervisors to supervise ACCORD counsellors in their work.

All External Supervisors working with ACCORD counsellors must be approved by Central Office prior to commencing work.  Prospective External Supervisors must apply to Central office by completing the External Supervisor Application/Registration Form and providing the following documentation:

• A copy of counselling diploma/degree
• A copy of counsellor accreditation certificate
• A copy of supervision diploma/degree
• A copy of supervisor accreditation certificate
• A copy of professional indemnity insurance

When the applicant has provided all the required documentation and has consented in writing to accept and adhere to all ACCORD policies, guidelines, standards and reporting structures, she/he may be placed on the register of approved ACCORD External Supervisors.
