Amarach Report 2025
Research carried out by Amarach in August 2025 indicates that Sacramental marriage and Catholic church weddings are mainly driven by religious beliefs, tradition and sometimes social or family expectations. Older adults are more likely to have a church wedding – 91% of those 55+ compared with 60% of under 35s.
